 Traveling Tiny Jesus

Pick up a tiny Jesus or two today on your way out of worship and take Him with you as you travel through life! If you go on vacation, place Him in your photo! Let us see the places you visit! (Truthfully, don’t we always want to have Jesus by our side?)

Share your photos with Carolyn and we will share them here!

New Artist

Meet our new artist in the Gallery! Joshua Carter is a Central Virginia-based acrylic painter who specializes in dynamic, heavily textured landscape art and abstraction. Be sure to stop by to view his work! All items (paintings and journal books) are for sale and a percentage of each sale will go to benefit PACEM as we seek to make the nights warmer for some of our unhoused neighbors.Thank you for your support!

CFUMC will be hosting PACEM February 10 – 24 and we are actively recruiting people to serve in the role of Morning Lead Volunteer.  Serving as the Morning Lead Volunteer you will be helping the volunteers fill their roles, meet guests needs and insure the facility is secure.  You will also be the key contact with the PACEM Staff for the morning.

In this role you will need to be onsite at CFUMC from 5.00a to 7.45a for two mornings and to help you we have a training session scheduled for Saturday morning, January 31 at CFUMC.

Please let me know if you are willing to serve in this important role or have questions.

Faith Seekers, New Study

The Faith Seekers Class will begin "Finding Peace through Humility, a Bible study in the book of Judges” that will give us a true understanding of the power of biblical humility and help us see the unexpected ways God can work in our life. Gather in room 208 at 8:45am every Sunday morning for this six week study.

Women at the Well

The Women at the Well will resume Thursday morning (9:30am) study together in room 308, on Jan. 15th. The focus of the study will be on Adam Hamilton’s book “When Christian’s Get it Wrong”,  a thought-provoking examination of why many young adults are leaving Christianity. This book addresses some common criticisms and offers a path towards a more compelling faith for all of us.
